The State of Europe, 1875

Hi all,

This is an attempt to describe to you what territories the various European nations occupy at the moment. I've done it in terms of the provinces of a Diplomacy board, hoping that you all have access to or can visualize such a thing... if not, a historical atlas should be OK, or a modern one at a pinch.

Inferno nation - Diplomacy provinces that comprise it

* Albania - Albania
* 
* Austria - Tyrolia, Vienna, Trieste excluding northernmost chunk (Slovenia) - now includes Liechtenstein, which is a very small state on the borders of Switzerland, Tyrolia and Munich
* 
* Bavaria - Munich, excluding its north-eastern projection
* 
* Belgium (French client) - the south-western half of Belgium
* 
* Bulgaria (Prussian client) - Bulgaria, plus the part of Constantinople that is in Europe, plus the eastern mainland projection of Greece (Thracian Macedonia)
* 
* Denmark - Denmark
* 
* France - France (includes Corsica), excluding the eastern slice of Marseilles
* 
* Grand Duchy of Florence - Tuscany
* 
* Grand Duchy of Milan - Piedmont plus the eastern slice of Marseilles
* 
* Hellas - Greece, except the part that is Bulgarian, and the Aegean islands
* 
* Hungary - Budapest
* 
* Ottoman Empire - Smyrna, Ankara, non-European Constantinople, most of Armenia, Syria, the Aegean islands (also includes Palestine, Egypt and Tripolitania)
* 
* Papal States - Rome plus northern part of Apulia plus southern part of Venice
* 
* People's Republic of the Two Sicilies - Naples, southern part of Apulia (includes Sicily and Sardinia)
* 
* Portugal - Portugal
* 
* Prussia - the western halves of Prussia and Warsaw, Galicia, Silesia, Berlin, Kiel, Ruhr, the eastern projection of Munich, and now Bohemia
* 
* Rumania (Prussian client) - Rumania (note that this excludes Transylvania, which is part of Hungary)
* 
* Russia (the Soviet Union) - St Petersburg, Moscow, Sevastopol, Ukraine, Livonia, the eastern halves of Prussia and Warsaw, the northern part of Armenia
* 
* Serbia - Serbia
* 
* Spain - Spain
* 
* Sweden - Sweden, Norway and Finland
* 
* Switzerland - Switzerland
* 
* The Netherlands (Prussian client) - Holland plus the north-eastern half of Belgium
* 
* United Kingdom - Great Britain and Ireland, plus North Africa and Tunis
* 
* Venetian Republic - Venice, excluding southern portion, plus northernmost chunk of Trieste (Slovenia)

This has been done in a bit of a rush, so I've probably missed somewhere out... sorry if so!

If anyone can get me a computerized version of the Diplomacy map, I can issue this graphically for you.
